hot mess

so today i read an interesting article in the new york times called " how this half lives." mark rozzo explores the newest design publications and what a hot mess they are. and thats in a good way. there are no stylists at these photo shoots, just the everyday surroundings of everyday people. the selby blog is definitely the jump off to the messy trend. now there is also apartmento, an interiors magazine to inspire those looking to achieve the lived in look. apartmento will be hosting a pop up restaurant at the international contemporary furniture fair in new york next month. hope to see you there! check out the new york times article here.

  1. I really liked the selby book! I was only envious of one or two apartments though. Fun to see people in their spaces, unstyled and full of character...

  2. I agree! It was fun to see something other than perfectly styled spaces that were very full of character. There are so many unique things in the spaces that you know have some kind of wonderful story behind them.
